PASTOR WOODY PROFFITT

         Woody Proffitt is the pastor of East End Baptist Church. Previously, Pastor Woody served as a youth director in a Michigan church and as pastor in churches in Georgia and Texas, for a total of 39 years of ministry. A veteran of the United States Air Force, he served both on active duty and in the Texas Air National Guard as a chaplain.

          Pastor Woody will soon celebrate 42 years of marriage to his faithful wife, Della, who has joyfully served the Lord with him. The Proffitts have seven children, and eight grandchildren.

          God used Clearwater Christian College and Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary, along with other schools, to train Pastor Woody for ministry. He graduated from Clearwater in 1980 and from Detroit in 1983.

          Pastor Woody came to know Christ as a young boy and was called to ministry at age 12.  The greatest thing in his life is knowing the Lord Jesus Christ. He loves to study, teach and preach the Word of God. His life verse is 1 Corinthians 15:57, “But thanks be to God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
